Today I looked up several different websites that might have katakana phrases for me to write about. I liked up the Japanese websites for several companies, including: Starbucks, McDonald's, Hello Kitty, and Amazon. On the Amazon website there was some katakana that was directly related to an English phrase, such as ใใคในใใข but otherwise there was a lot of kanji and hiragana on the front webpage that surprised me. It seemed like the Hello Kitty website had the most on the page with the character names. Starbucks had a lot, probably the most overall, and they seemed the easiest to connect with English equivalents, such as ”ใณใผใใผ” & ”ใขใผใใณใใใซใฏ”. It had various other words related to food that were English words in katakana. McDonald's mostly had a mix between kanji and katakana.
I put some pictures to illustrate the ones that had more katakana/mix of katakana and other characters.
It was good practice reading that website because it was semi familiar and there were often translations provided in English.
